This portfolio presents evidence-based strategies for promoting student participation and increase English language learning in the classroom. The focus is on the issue of student to speak in English due to embarrassment. According to the experience of the teacher-in-training, various techniques have been explored and implemented to foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment. These techniques include creating a safe space for practice and experimentation, implementing group activities and discussions, incorporating interactive and engaging learning materials, utilizing technology for language practice, and providing constructive feedback and encouragement. The portfolio provides evidence that show the effectiveness of these techniques in enhancing student engagement and language proficiency while addressing students to speak in English.
