The topic of this essay is the usage of direct and indirect strategies to develop reading in Second Grade Secondary Students. This paper is the result of the review of the literature about the theme in different sources, the cogitation on the teaching practice during the school year, and the observation of the students’ performance. Other actions were to organize and analyze information taken from the different sources and to connect it with activities used in the group of study.
